An accomplished listee, Dr. Takami celebrates many years of experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Dr. Takami was born in Kakogawa, Hyogo, Japan in November 1950. He has been a general physician and director of the Clinic of Jingumae since 1993. In addition, he has served as a part-time lecturer in the department of internal medicine with Nara Medical University since 2002, having been a part-time lecturer with the Kinki University department of pathology from 1995 to 2003. Prior to obtaining these roles, he worked as a staff physician with the Seikeikai Hospital division of internal medicine from 1984 to 1993.
Dr. Takami began his career as a student at Osaka Educational University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1974. He served in a research fellowship with the Osaka University department of immunology from 1974 to 1977, and again from 1983 to 1984 after completing an MD with Nara Medical University in 1983. He later earned a PhD with Kinki University in 1993. He is certified by the Japan Medical Association.
 A respected voice in the field, Dr. Takami has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Cardiovascular Disorders and the Journal of Advanced Clinical Pharmacology, and he is the director of the Nara Medical Association. He is known for his research in the role of hapten-reactive T lymphocyte in the induction of autoimmunity, evaluation of arterial stiffness, evaluation of central blood pressure, evaluation of left ventricular hypertrophy and diastolic function, experimental and clinical hypertension, effects of RAS inhibitter on cardiovascular enents, effect of smoking on central blood pressure, clinical interaction between brain and kidney in small vessel disease, and the effect of visit to visit BP variability on left ventricular hypertrophy and diastolic function.
 Dr. Takami is an elected fellow of the Japanese Society of Hypertension and councilor for the organization for the past 15 years. He is also an active member of the Japanese College of Cardiology, the Japanese Society of Geriatrics, the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, the Japanese Society of Atherosclerosis, and the Japanese Society of Circulation.
Dr. Takami has received several awards and accolades for his work, including with a Japanese Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare Commendation. He was the recipient of a Social Insurance Medical Treatment Reward Payment Fund Achievement, a Japanese General Physician Award, a Practical Medical Excellent Award, and a Community Based Study Encourage Prize from the Japanese Society of Hypertension, and a Case Presentation Award from the Japanese College of Cardiology. Dr. Takami has been included in every edition of Who's Who in the World since 2011.

大阪大学医学部腫瘍発生学教室(北川正保教授、浜岡利之教授)の教室で免疫学の研究:ハプテンに反応するT細胞の発見とそれを利用した自己免疫疾患、腫瘍免疫の研究。

近畿大学医学部病理学教室(岡本耕造教授、鈴木庸之教授)の教室で実験病理学の研究:高血圧の臓器障害の研究および脳、心、腎、血管の高血圧性病変の研究を高血圧自然発症ラットを用いて研究。高血圧における延髄のカテコールアミンの研究。高血圧と各種ホルモンの研究。

クリニック神宮前でプライマリーケアー、在宅診療、高血圧、糖尿病、脂質異常症、睡眠時無呼吸症候群等生活習慣病、心房細動等の不整脈、心不全、狭心症等循環器疾患や腎臓病等の生活習慣病に起因する疾患の管理。
